FRIDAY ASSEMBLIES IN DALLINGTON: THE BEST WAY TO SHARE OUR LEARNING EXPERIENCES

Every Friday the Primary and Secondary students and teachers get together to talk about those values and learnings that connect us and make us better students and people.

This school year, the pandemic barriers not only have not prevented us from continuing with our beloved tradition of Friday assemblies, but we have grown in creativity and digital competence. ¡If we cannot get together physically, we will get together digitally!

Today Year 7, led by Mr. Hay, has carried out the assembly showing their technological skills, and their remarkable fluency in public speaking while explaining why perseverance is so important to achieve our goals and to be happy.

In addition, they have introduced us to determined students, that thanks to their persistency in an activity, today they stand out in science, mathematics, gymnastics, or music, among others.

Determination is the opposite of giving up, it is being constant, persistent, and dedicating time and tenacity. When we learn for the first time, it is normal that at first, we do not do well, and we may be tempted to give up, or to believe that we will never be better. However, if we make a choice, we trust, and we are persistent, we can achieve what we have decided, and enjoy learning!
