5 things you should know about our organic catering

At Dallington School, we believe that good nutrition is the foundation of our pupils’ physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. That’s why our organic catering service is carefully designed to prioritise quality, sustainability, and health.

We are proud to be the only school in Spain offering meals that are certified as 100% organic.

Our commitment to conscious eating goes far beyond the dining hall: each meal is an opportunity to learn healthy habits, respect the environment, and enjoy the natural flavour of real food.

Here are five key aspects of our organic catering service:

1️⃣ Healthy and natural cooking

All ingredients and vegetables in our organic kitchen are steamed or oven-cooked, preserving their nutritional properties.

We use only extra virgin organic olive oil and never fry food. This approach reduces unnecessary fat intake and enhances the natural flavour of every ingredient.

2️⃣ Fresh and natural fish

We serve only wild-caught fish, never from fish farms, ensuring the highest nutritional quality and greater respect for the environment. This way, our school menus promote a more balanced diet, rich in high-quality proteins and essential fatty acids.

3️⃣ Balanced and varied menus

Each week, pupils enjoy two fish-based meals, one with legumes, and at least one with poultry, ensuring a diverse and healthy source of protein.

Our menus are continuously reviewed to maintain a perfect balance between taste, nutrition, and sustainability.

4️⃣ Safe and adapted ingredients

Our organic catering is designed to meet the needs of all pupils. We do not cook with dairy products (except for occasional yoghurts), gluten, eggs, or nuts, and we never add sugar to our dishes or desserts. Every day we offer a colourful, fresh salad, full of vitamins, textures, and flavours.

Healthy eating for better learning

At Dallington School, we promote healthy habits from an early age. A balanced diet not only improves physical health but also supports focus, academic performance, and emotional wellbeing.
Our goal is to teach pupils the importance of caring for their bodies and the planet — integrating sustainability into their everyday lives.
Because eating well is also a way of learning respect, balance, and responsibility.
