Our teachers will help them acquire these skills, which are so important in their personal and professional lives, through a wide range of methods and activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"9225\" src=\"https:\/\/dallingtonschool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/blog-debates-foto-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9225\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"9231\" src=\"https:\/\/dallingtonschool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/blog-debates-foto2-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9231\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Debate, for example, plays a crucial role in the development of students&#8217; language and thinking. They learn to reflect on their ideas, formulate and present arguments, and provide evidence. Equally important is that students listen carefully to others&#8217; opinions, create counterarguments, use specific vocabulary, and follow debate protocols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In last term&#8217;s Global Awareness topic, the 4th and 5th grade students delivered an impressive debate and demonstrated their extraordinary potential.
