It allows children to use language in different ways. It has a special space for English language learners because poems defy rules, they can be accesible to everyone and easily scaffolded.<\/p>\n<p>Poetry opens children\u00b4s imagination and symbolic language.<\/p>\n<p>Poetry is rhythm and music. It\u00b4s the most kinesthetic of all literature.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4858 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/dallingtonschool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FullSizeRender-82-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"fullsizerender-82\" width=\"604\" height=\"453\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dallingtonschool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_0832.mov\">img_0832<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u201cBecome an enthusiastic. Poetry is a hugely wide term. There\u00b4s going to be something out there that touches you, makes you laugh, worry\u2026try to identify what \u201cgets\u201d you, then use that as your starting point for sharing and devising activities\u201d.
