A lo largo de su trayectoria coordinando el departamento de espa\u00f1ol\u00a0en el Sistema Brit\u00e1nico, siempre le llam\u00f3\u00a0la atenci\u00f3n que\u00a0alumnos espa\u00f1oles, disfrutaban m\u00e1s de la lectura\u00a0en ingl\u00e9s que en espa\u00f1ol, siendo esta \u00faltima su lengua materna. \u00a0Paola Recio decidi\u00f3 llevar a cabo una investigaci\u00f3n para demostrar que <strong>no s\u00f3lo\u00a0disfrutaban m\u00e1s, sino que adem\u00e1s, le\u00edan mejor.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3n se llev\u00f3 a cabo con alumnos de 6 y 10 a\u00f1os. Mientras los alumnos de 1\u00ba de primaria comprend\u00edan mejor en espa\u00f1ol que en ingl\u00e9s, hecho que todos podr\u00edamos esperar puesto que es su lengua materna, esto no ocurri\u00f3 con los alumnos de 4\u00ba de primaria, los cuales\u00a0le\u00edan de manera mucho m\u00e1s fluida y ten\u00edan una mayor comprensi\u00f3n lectora\u00a0en ingl\u00e9s. Aunque estos resultados s\u00f3lo sean un primer paso en la investigaci\u00f3n, son muy llamativos y <strong>ponen de manifiesto una realidad que todos conocemos, algo falla en el sistema de ense\u00f1anza de la lectura en Espa\u00f1a<\/strong>. Los resultados de PISA de los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os corroboran este hecho.<\/p>\n<p>Desgraciadamente, ni la metodolog\u00eda, ni los materiales utilizados en la mayor\u00eda de aulas de lengua espa\u00f1ola favorecen la motivaci\u00f3n ni el inter\u00e9s necesario para que los ni\u00f1os disfruten leyendo, primer paso para que se desarrolle una buena habilidad lectora.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dallingtonschool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/3-e1433350061247.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3381\" src=\"https:\/\/dallingtonschool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/3-e1433350061247.jpg\" alt=\"3\" width=\"500\" height=\"352\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Los resultados expuestos animan a Paola Recio a continuar en esta l\u00ednea de investigaci\u00f3n para poder comprobar de manera m\u00e1s exhaustiva si existe, como cree, un papel decisivo del material y la metodolog\u00eda docente en la evoluci\u00f3n de la fluidez y la comprensi\u00f3n lectora de los ni\u00f1os a estas edades.
