Instead, children explore these areas through play, investigation and guided discovery. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How is the British curriculum implemented in the classroom? <\/h2>\n\n<p>A defining feature of the British curriculum in early years is experiential learning. <\/p>\n\n<p>Children learn through: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Structured and free play <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thematic projects <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exploration of their environment <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practical, hands-on activities <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Continuous adult interaction and guidance<br\/><br\/> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Assessment is based on observation and progress tracking rather than formal examinations. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Assessment in the EYFS<\/strong> is not based on tests, but on the ongoing observation of a child\u2019s progress across different areas. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The benefits of EYFS <\/h2>\n\n<p>The British early years approach: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Encourages independence from an early age <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Builds confidence and initiative <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strengthens oral communication <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promotes curiosity and creativity <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lays the foundation for critical thinking<br\/><br\/> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>As part of the British education system, EYFS ensures academic continuity into later stages such as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dallingtonschool.com\/en\/key-stage-4-igcse\/\">IGCSE<\/a><\/strong> and A Levels. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A child-centered approach to learning <\/h3>\n\n<p>The <strong>British curriculum in Early Years<\/strong> places the child at the center of the educational process. Not all children learn at the same pace or in the same way.  <\/p>\n\n<p>For this reason, individualized observation and pedagogical adaptation are essential.
